A concert evening with its own dramatic arc
Paris opens the evening: its streets, its night sky and the stories that have become inseparable from chanson. From there, La Vie en Rose moves deeper into love and passion, memory, longing and loss, before the music finds its way back to resilience and joie de vivre.
Approximately 18 chansons in two parts are shaped into more than a sequence of familiar titles. Each becomes a scene within the evening, connected by feeling and by the stories the songs carry.

Musical approach
True to the character of the songs
The musical language remains close to the distinctive character and emotional candour of the chanson tradition. Jenny Renard approaches it with the presence of a contemporary concert artist: not as period reconstruction, but as living storytelling.
At its heart is the exchange between song, singer and audience. A chanson may begin quietly and still hold an entire room. It is within that closeness that Jenny has found her artistic language.
